The Angel Film Awards - Monaco International Film Festival, one of the premiere European film award festivals, is an annual international special interest film industry event held in Monaco. It is a non-profit organization, inaugurated in December 2003. The Festival focuses on non-violent films, screening productions from around the world, and awards are given in many categories.

The AFA - MIFF is an important, competitive international film event, with more then 20 awards. The Festival's award are called the Angel Film Awards, recently televised on BBC World, Headline News, Dec, 14th 2007.

The Festival promotes the importance of no gratuitous violence in film/entertainment, and also includes the submission of environmental, cultural and peace-promoting themes in films. The Festival's emphasis is on promoting aesthetics in talent and filmmaker, and for films with a unique story.


ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
This one-of-a-kind film festival takes place in fabulous, lovely Monaco, neighbour of the Cannes Film Festival - Cote d' Azur, and Italian Riviera. The Festival slogan: peace, harmony, positive energy and cultural unity!

The AFA - MIFF since 2003 received immense media attention, and numerous AFA winners received national and international distribution deals through the Festival.

The AFA - Monaco International Film Festival's opening gala event at Hermitage Hotel at the famous Salle Belle Époque - champagne cocktail film evening reception for VIP festival pass holders & film industry member guests only. Event is in honour of the official selected opening night film.

Throughout the Festival there are sponsored film and networking party events with celebrities, distributors, producers, directors, writers, well known musicians live on stage during the Angel Film Awards Ceremony, also filmed or televised.

more awards.
